Yuma to Wellton the long way.

Farmland, military base, and friendly cyclists. Short ride today, so we are feeling fresh. Soaking up A/C at Jack in the Box while we wait for our hotel to be ready. Great night's sleep last night. Felt much better today. Our bottoms are starting to get sore. That will pass. One day at a time. Lots to see. There are crops we had to look up to identify. Amy continues to crush it. Pam is keeping the operation on track.

Update: Had a tire go out on the trailer, so I got to ride in an Arizona State Trooper car (in the back). The trooper was awesome! He and I rescued Pam and Finn.  Driver's side blowout. He worked with me to get the tire replaced. We were inches from oncoming traffic.  He kept the lights on and had a superior lug wrench. Watch for me on the next episode of cops

    1. Pretty cool. 75% of my looking is scanning the road ahead of us to keep us upright.

Amy’s Birthday Ride!

We celebrated Amy’s last birthday in her 40’s by riding 58 miles. Tallahassee is behind us and we are staying in a cabin in Madison, FL. Passed a big alligator on the side of the road in our last 10 miles. Rode through Ray Charles birthplace. Planning a relaxing afternoon. Details of our Thursday 10AM finish at St Augustine beach are posted in a picture above. We will pull into the parking area by the fishing pier.  Upon arrival and we will take the finish picture at the Atlantic Ocean. If you plan to be there please let us know in the comments. Everyone in attendance will get a plaque, t-shirt or handshake.

Done!

Riding day 2 in the books.

Better day today. Steep descents on our ride out of the mountains. Crazy high winds tried to blow us off the mountain. Rode through the desert with amazing tailwinds. The sun and heat are brutal. We were 50’yards from the border. Felt 100% better today. You almost can’t drink enough water here.
